Laureen Hu, black belt Karate member of the NFK, has won the first price in the senior Kata competition of the BUCS National Karate Championships 2016 (British Universities & Colleges Sport), hosted last weekend in Sheffield, UK. This is indeed an impressive achievement since the BUCS Nationals are the highlight for the individual sport athletes and the UK’s largest annual multi-sport event. To become 1st Laureen had to win 6 rounds with plenty of good competitors including some of the national UK Kata team. Laureen trains at the dojo “Karate&Kobudo Delft” of sensei Gonzalo Villarrubia.
